Curriculum

Our Toddlers & Preschoolers use the High Scope Curriculum which incorporates the principles of active learning through a comprehensive model that addresses all areas of development. HighScope uses play-based, child-centered, and grounded in research while featuring active learning at its core. In a HighScope classroom, children are guided to explore, interact, and exercise their creative imagination through purposeful play. Well-prepared teachers support and extend each child’s learning based on their developmental levels, so children enter school ready and eager to learn.

Infants

Age: 6 weeks-1 year

We encourage language development and listening skills by using constant verbal and visual stimulation of colors, shapes, numbers, sounds, animals, and music. Our caring teachers balance individual attention in group environments to ensure learning in a productive way.

Our class ratio for infants is 4 students per 1 teacher as mandated by the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Toddlers

Age: 1 year-2 years

Our Toddlers curriculum is designed to foster independence and growth in our students. We encourage crucial developments through hands-on activities, small and large group experiences, storytelling, and phonetic lessons. All students, with the help of the parents, are potty trained in our K2 class in order to prepare them forPreschool and beyond.

Our class ratio for K1 is 6 students per 1 teacher; for K2 is 12 students per 1 teacher as mandated by the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Preschool
